“A Brief Memory of Brown,” is a monochromatic study of past childhood experience, only now realized as racial violence slung on the swing set. Without the tools to know and combat this at the time and the inability to pass the paper bag test by my peers, this visual representation was the continuation of my understanding of the body I am in, in relation to the world.
